I'm considering drastic measures to obtain the two Clare Fader & The Vaudevillans albums. I might...purchase them. I know, I know - it's unspeakable. I just may go through with it.

While searching for their discs, I landed on CD Baby. I actually discovered a few bands/artists that seem promising. Jill Tracy has an appealing diabolical streak. Circus Contraption seems right up my alley with their gritty carnivalesque sound. Corner Tour takes a page from the same book but with female vocals and a little more of a "melancholic mountain music" approach. Midnite Choir sounds cool too.

Fuck, what is it with me and dark vaudeville/carnival music? I don't know, but it's much more interesting than the new Tiamat or Anathema.
