Oh, is it time to update already? Damn.
Tomorrow it's back to the daily grind for me. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm tired of working. My job is ok and all, I'm just tired of going. Surely somebody out there can spare a dozen or so million bucks for a dork who's down on his luck?
We're thinking about buying a house in Aylett, Virginia. It would be a longer drive to work, but it's high time we owned instead of rented. We're pretty sure we can get approved for a fairly nice one in a certain subdivision. The cost is about 60% of what we'd pay in Richmond. The only thing is, rumors abound of a lot of layoffs at a certain major electronics retailer that shall remain nameless. That has the potential to knock Meli out of a job in March. I suppose it would be best to wait a couple months before buying a home.
That and the fact that I feel like quitting my job and living in a shack somewhere. But I'm trying to suppress that just like all of my other hopes and dreams.
We saw Peter Pan last night. We were the only people in the theater, which is always good. The movie was pretty much what I expected. On the way home, I saw something bizarre though. It was almost 1 a.m. and there's this black guy outside his house. He has his headlights shining on him for illumination while he's dancing and...painting his fence. I swear. Maybe he was working for a Jolly Negro 24-Hour Painting Service?
In the words of Meatwad: Now, when I say crank it, you do whatever it is people do when they're told to do that.
