For the first time in quite a while - years, in fact - I've been receiving angry emails related to the site. I'm so excited. It's like the good old days.
Here's the response I sent to one of them yesterday. Non sequitur tr00n355. I sent him a review of last night's visit to a new diner here in town:
Not too shabby, with a few exceptions.
I started off with what was called a "chicken tortellini soup." In reality it was just chicken noodle soup. I don't know who they think they're fooling.
The complimentary bread wasn't that great. They had a weird dipping thing going on - not salsa or marinara or anything like that. No, they used peppers and tomatoes ground up into this weird not-quite-paste. Interesting, but it couldn't totally divert from the fact that the bread was a little tough.
The chicken quesadilla "appetizer" took forever to come out. The chicken and cheese filling was great, and the presentation was nice. It looked more like pizza-shaped toaster strudel. Alas, the shells were a bit overcooked. Kinda crumbly. Another missed opportunity for greatness there, although still not too bad.
I had ravioli and meatballs. My only complaint was the sauce. It was a wee bit thin for my tastes.
But the real treat was the dessert. I had boston creme pie that actually lived up to its billing. Very good stuff. Best dessert I've had in a while.

I miss hate mail. I wish I gave enough of a damn to start talking shit about Slipknot again.

Indeed. Once you stop making fun of mall metal and Metallica, all the stupid emails stop. Where's the fun in that?
